where is the garden?

I always want to have a garden, a big one, in my day dream and night dream. I want to enjoy the happiness of laboring in the garden and watch a little seed grow into a green plant with flowers; I want to enjoy reading in the quietness of a lazy afternoon; I want to let my dog and cat have a playground; I want...

But the garden is just so far away until I saw Steve Wheen's pothole garden. Steve's gardens are on the hole of the side road with many miniatures to go with it. It not just brings lots of happiness to himself, but also the passers-by. People are inspired by those empty chairs, telephone booth, tables, etc.

Maybe I can do something in the same way, as Mencius said, "独乐乐 不如众乐乐”, or the more the merrier.

The girl loves blue daisy, but the boy cannot find it the flower shop and he knows it is hard to keep it fresh, so here it is..

Little Things/小时光

In the backstreet of my home, there is a whole street of shops selling accessories, stationaries and snacks, groceries with all those things attracted to little girls and boys as well as a big girl, me. That's one of my favorite streets in my little town, even though it's only 20 meters long, I could stay there for hours, checking new arrivals of every shop, and my trophy was always hair clips, ball pens, or notebooks. The most luxury item I bought there was a brooch with glass beads. For that, I chose for over one hour at the door front and made a very hard decision among different designs which I like them all.

Now I've collected several drawers of such little things, but all those old things are still dear to me. This time I made these little things for you.

Night Market Adventure

Preparing day and night for two weeks, finally on 30th and 31st Aug at Chijimes Hall (an old elegant white church), my friend and I have our little stall opened, displaying beautifully with our handmade items, bracelets, brooches, hair decors, etc.

It's a privilege to be able to sell our works at such a historical building, though the business did not go as well as what we have expected, it is still a wonderful experience for both of us.

Happy Smile/童年记忆

I love pinwheels, the sight of it always gives me lots of happy memories of my childhood.

It's usually in the autumn. When it's time to harvest the corn, we started making pinwheels by using corn stems to hold it for they have a soft cotton texture inside it. We would compete with each other on whose pinwheel was the biggest. Then running in the field to catch the wind for a long long time. When finally feeling tired, we went back home and put it into a hole of the window frame, just enjoying staring at it for its occasional turning and turning and turning...

These pinwheels are for finding back your happy memories and create many many more happy moments for you and everyone around you.

This time I chose premium quality cardstock, so it can be used for quite a long time just with your proper care. And I also designed it for multiple uses, you can hang it up, tie it to a stick or just paste to the wall.

Box of Sweets/糖果盒

I really love the colors of my two previous works, so developed them into two boxes.
Each box is made of around 200 petals, so as to make them more delicate and lively.
Don't they look very lovely and like box of sweets?!

Go Go Girls/加油！女孩！

A few days ago, I watched the movie True Grit. I am always attracted by girls who have tough and brave personality and always keep a clear and firm altitudes towards her own life. Life is harsh, but this cannot stop us from finding our happiness!

Go Go Girls!! Find your freedom and find your happiness!!!

Drawn from this western movie, I chose blue as the base color. Someone might say blue is more for men, not for girls. Well, that's just because you did not really look into the wonderful world in girls' heart, it's just like the sky.

For this pair of boutonnieres, one is made of 7 flowers, another 4 flower, both with a total height of around 6 inches (the height varies due to the natural shape of the twig, but I will definitely make it comfortable to wear). Yes, the tiptop of the twig is fragile, but, so what if it is broken?! Imperfect is true perfect!

Morning Dew 晨露

Autumn has just begun, one of the signs from nature is that white dew descends over night cold air. This design is inspired by this seasonal change, hope it will draw you to the beauty of the early morning in autumn.

Originally it's designed as a boutonniere for girls, but the design developed itself and gave me much more ideas, so there is also men's version. It can be used as:

Missing You

When we grow up, we always want to go to big cities, because we thought there we could find a place of our own.

The city for me is Beijing. I met him there and I started to know the true self bit by bit.

Away from the Beijing for quite a while now, I just miss everything there!

Summer Light 夏日阳光

This is a special summer to me--the first time of a month-long travel and a new start of my life. I designed this set of flowers for this summer. I call them Summer Light.

Inspired by craspedia, the seven flowers are made in two shades of yellow and a little green. Each one is lovely and unique, especially the big spiky fluffy one. I literally assembled over 100 pieces of those little curls, bows, and hearts. When it finally came into being, I was so excited to see its beauty which I didn't expect when I started, and it will bring you more excitement when giving it a gentle touch.
